If you want my opinion, shouldn't need $40m pushed out. Just have the security enforcers step up for what they are getting paid.

Slashdot
Trailrunner7 writes "The U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a call for proposals this week in a $40m program to encourage research and development in a wide range of topics related to cyber security: from designing more resilient software, to alternatives to passwords and CAPTCHA technology to prevent automated attacks. DHS laid out its areas of interest in a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) dated January 26. In it, the domestic security agency said it was soliciting papers and proposals centered on 14 different topic areas. At stake is $40m in federal funding for research and development, with individual grants ranging up to $3 million. DHS's areas of interest include software assurance, enterprise security metrics, usable security, as well as the challenges posed by insider threats."

Added 2TBs of space to my collection.

Online pricing doesn't always match the price of in-store. So bought a
2TB instead of 1TB, only paying $40 more!

Desk Pets to roll out iOS-controlled TankBot this June (birthday present for me)

Engadget
There's unfortunately no pictures or video of it in action just yet, but it looks like Desk Pets is getting set to join Parrot and its AR.Drone in the wild world of toys controlled by iOS devices. That comes in the form of the company's forthcoming TankBot, which can not only be controlled by your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, but by gestures thanks to its built-in IR sensors -- it'll also operate autonomously in its maze navigation or free roaming modes, for good measure. Look for this one to be available in June for "under $20" in your choice of four different colors.

I am now a proud @Verizon customer with 3G! Woot!

I could not agree more! http://goo.gl/UCqtq

I spend $700 on my iPhone 4 over the course of my plan, but let's not
forget ATT somewhat crappy of service too (which is not cheap either).
I own this device, if I want to take it apart and screw it up, that's
my perogative!

One expensive item for $85!

Well, I'll be stopping by iTech tomorrow to get a cord, and if I had $3,000 I would get a new laptop while I was at it!

Had to restore my iPhone 4 this morning too! Be spending the day
getting it back to a decent functioning state. Only 19 min of battery
left on the MBP with no charging cables.

The people that I either work for or work with keep growing! Had a guy convert a MiniDV to DVD for me. He must have liked what he saw. Wants me to work for him!

Had a guy convert a MiniDV to DVD for me. He must have liked what he
saw. Wants me to work for him! I talked about video, and then another
guy does PHP programming and I talked to him about web design.
Knowledge is *golden* in this day and age! From what I heard from
them, if I can get my own site up and running, have my own server
going and hosting my stuff. Doing it all on my own, I will be much
ahead of the curve! This is just more encouragement for what I'm
already wanting to do!

Whether or not green products (environmental friendly) are as helpful to the environment as they are hyped to be. They have a clean and simple look to them. One day I hope to have a green house!
